Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Water & Spirit app ("the app", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. The app is operated by Grant Horn. If you have any questions, contact us at tradeknowledgeacademy@gmail.com.

Information we collect

Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are stored securely (hashed) by our authentication provider — we never see or store your password in plain text. You can use the app without an account; an account only enables saving your progress to the cloud and syncing it across devices.
Your content and progress. The reading progress, streaks, heart check-ins, journal notes, and preferences you create in the app.
We do not collect advertising identifiers, your location, your contacts, or analytics tracking.

How we use your information

To create and maintain your account.
To save your progress and sync it across your devices.
To respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where your data is stored and who processes it

Supabase provides our database and sign-in. Your account and progress are stored on Supabase's infrastructure.
Apple App Store and Google Play distribute the app. They may collect limited information related to your download in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Donorbox (with its payment processors Stripe and/or PayPal) handles voluntary donations, and only if you choose to give. See "Donations" below.

These providers process data on our behalf, or — in the case of donations — as independent processors, under their own privacy and security terms.

Donations

The app is free, and "Support the Mission" giving is entirely optional and does not unlock any features or content. If you choose to give, tapping a giving option opens an external donation page (Donorbox) in your browser. Your donation and any details you enter there (such as your name, email, and payment information) are handled by Donorbox and its payment processors (Stripe and/or PayPal) under their own privacy policies. The app itself does not collect, receive, or store your payment card details.

How we share information

We don't sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with the service providers above to operate the app, or when required by law.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and we use row-level security so each person can access only their own data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, right in the app:

Open Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and your saved progress, and cannot be undone.

You can also request deletion by emailing tradeknowledgeacademy@gmail.com. We will delete your account and associated data within 30 days.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account (above), your account and associated data are removed.

Children's privacy

Water & Spirit is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, use the in-app deletion option or contact us at tradeknowledgeacademy@gmail.com.

International users

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. By using the app, you consent to this processing.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date above. Your continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
